Growing up in the South Bay, Michael lucked his way into being a child actor, landing small roles in Jerry Seinfeld’s 1998 HBO Special, Lizzie McGuire, and Charlie’s Angeles (2001).

With every visit to set though, Michael found himself increasingly drawn to what was happening behind the camera, and set about applying to film schools successfully transferring into UCLA’s undergraduate TFT program in 2008.
